- Follow your artist’s instructions.Use only the products and care routine provided for your specific service.
- Keep the area clean.Avoid touching, rubbing or picking while your brows settle.
- Protect the healing area.Hold off on heavy sweating, soaking and direct sun as instructed after your appointment.
- Let the color soften naturally.Fresh pigment can look more defined at first and changes as the skin heals.
Your day-by-day healing timeline
Days 1–2Brows may look bolder or darker than the final result and can feel tender.
Days 3–4The area may begin to feel dry or tight as the surface starts to heal.
Days 5–7Light flaking can appear. Let it release naturally—do not pick or peel.
Days 8–14Color may look lighter or slightly uneven while surface healing continues.
Weeks 3–4Pigment gradually settles and the shape begins to look softer and more natural.
Weeks 6–8Healed brows can be assessed for any finishing touches or added definition.
11Touch-up guide
Why touch-ups matter.
Permanent makeup settles differently from person to person. A touch-up allows the healed result—not the fresh result—to guide the final refinements.
- 01Complete the first result.A 6–8 week follow-up can fill areas that healed lighter, balance color and refine definition after the skin has settled.
- 02Maintain brows over time.A yearly touch-up refreshes color and shape when your brows have noticeably faded.
- 03Book the right service.Initial brow services do not include a touch-up. Choose the Ombré Touch Up, Combo Touch Up or Yearly Touch Up listed in the service menu.

For correction of brows done elsewhere, send clear, makeup-free and filter-free photos to Sheila for guidance before booking.
12Before your appointment
Prepare for your best result.
A little planning helps your appointment feel comfortable and gives your brows a calm starting point.
- 01Come with clean brows.Arrive with the brow area clean and free of makeup, creams and oils.
- 02Keep skin calm.Avoid arriving with sunburn, irritation or freshly treated skin around the brow area.
- 03Share what matters.Tell Sheila about previous brow work, relevant skin concerns, medications or medical conditions before your service.
- 04Plan for healing.Fresh brows appear more defined at first, so allow time for the color to soften before an important event.

If you do not arrive for your appointment and have not contacted Sheila, the $29 deposit is forfeited.
Permanent makeup may not be appropriate for everyone. Please notify Brows by Sheila before booking if any of the following apply to you:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have an allergy or sensitivity to ink, makeup, latex, numbing agents or permanent makeup products
- You have eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, a rash, open wound, blisters, infection or another skin condition in the treatment area
- You have active skin cancer in the treatment area
- You have a history of keloids or hypertrophic scarring
- You have diabetes or another condition that may affect healing
- You have a bleeding or clotting disorder, including hemophilia
- You take blood thinners or other medication that may affect bleeding or healing
- You have heart disease or uncontrolled high blood pressure
- You have a blood-borne infectious disease
- You have epilepsy, seizures or a history of fainting
- You are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation, or have recently completed treatment
- You currently or recently used isotretinoin (Accutane), or another medication that may affect the skin or healing
- You have any medical condition, medication, allergy or recent procedure that may affect the safety of permanent makeup
Having one of these conditions does not necessarily mean you cannot receive permanent makeup.
Depending on your situation, Sheila may recommend postponing your appointment or obtaining written clearance from your physician before proceeding.
